Eight members of Convocation have been elected to serve on the Council of Convocation of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) following elections held on November 5, 2025. A total of 4,713 valid votes were cast in the contest for the eight representative seats.
Dr. Kwame Mireku at the KNUST School of Business secured the highest number of votes, finishing with 558.
He was followed closely by Dr. (Mrs.) Perditer Okyere with 534 votes and Professor Frimpong Twum with 449. Also elected were Dr. (Mrs.) Akosua Mawuse Amankwah with 515 votes, Mrs. Victoria De-Graft Adjei with 470, Dr. Leonard Delali Kodjo De-Souza with 449, Professor Mohamed Mutocheluh with 446, and Dr. Kwame Mireku with 558.
Dr. John-Lewis Zinja Zaukuu and Dr. Gershon Amenuvor did not secure seats in the election. The Registrar, Benjamin Boampong Owusu, Esq., officially declared the results.
The newly elected representatives will serve a two-year term beginning January 1, 2026, contributing to deliberations and decision-making on matters affecting members of Convocation and the broader University community.
